Support Engineer--Full Time

To provide 1st Line Support to AZ Customers and resellers, logging calls into a Call Management System (Web Helpdesk), diagnosing those calls, resolving software problems where possible and escalating other software and all hardware problems through appropriate channels.

Keep customers and resellers updated and fully informed, on the progress of their issues especially when response/fix cannot be met.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally & written
  • A cautious but confident approach to the support of a mission-critical real-time live system
  • Experience in the Payment Card industry would be an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Windows (specifically 2008) including batch files
  • Good knowledge of MySQL with DB admin expertise being an advantage
  • Some knowledge of Linux
  • Knowledge of Java and any other technology areas that might apply (web development, for example)
